A totally random question
Did anyone else have a really disappointing experience with McDonalds as a kid?
I didn't go to a McDonalds until I was 7 or 8 and a kid at school had a birthday political party at that place. I had no idea what McDonalds was like, but I did know that about every child at school LOVED it, and got extremely excited at the idea of going at that place, or even begged their parents to get there.
I thought that for all the other kids to be and so excited about going there it must be pretty much some literal magic place that would serve some kind of amazing fantasy-story feast that would sense of taste better than anything else I'd ever eaten. So my burger arrived and information technology was...kind of sparse and sorry, with a weirdly soft/banal bun, and didn't sense of taste like it had been seasoned with much besides common salt? I was very dislocated considering I'd had better-tasting burgers at home or from other places. In fact I think I genuinely thought nosotros'd gone to the wrong place at first, similar THIS couldn't be the MCDONALDS I'd heard so much about.
I was reminded of this today by seeing one of the "McDonalds! McDonalds! McDonalds!" "Nosotros accept food at habitation" memes...did anyone else accept this feel equally a kid?
